Plate style temperature and humidity sensor for older Ecowitt WH65, WN67 or WS69 sensor array where the sensor is glued to the plate. Also suitable for a number of Ventus, GARNI and Ambient multi-sensor arrays (cannot be used with Bresser weather stations or Ecowitt WS80 or WS90 models).

Please ensure that your existing sensor is this plate style part as per the image to ensure compatibility and that it is a plug-in sensor connector.

Ensure that you do not handle the sensor cloth filter with bare hands to prevent contamination. The cloth filter should not be removed.

Temperature and humidity sensor

The temperature and humidity output on my ECOWITT weather station array failed, so I ordered this replacement sensor. It arrived quickly and was well packed. Unfortunately, fitting the replacement hasn't made any difference - I still get no temperature or humidity readings. I don't know whether the new sensor is faulty or whether it's a problem somewhere else in the array.

Fits Aercus WS 3085 sensor suite

I've had the humidity sensor fail in three successive sensor suites. This sensor fitted perfectly as a replacement. This is about a quarter of the price of a new suite. I think that the issue with these suites is that the radiation shield around the humidity/temperature sensor doesn't prevent rain getting blown onto the sensor in stormy conditions. High winds and heavy rain (aka horizontal rain) soak the sensor. I've constructed a cylindrical shield out of plastic card to fit around the sensor. This should prevent rain getting blown onto the sensor, and appears to allow air circulation for normal operation.
